With the unity and effort of all employees, Westfood achieved many remarkable accomplishments in the past year. In September 2023, the Hau Giang Agricultural Food Processing Complex (Westfood Hau Giang Factory) officially commenced construction in the Hau River industrial zone, Hau Giang province, and is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2025. The factory, covering approximately 7 hectares with a total investment of over 666 billion VND, will have a capacity of 120 tons of finished products per day. The project aligns with the socio-economic development orientation and global agricultural export demands. Once completed, Westfood Hau Giang is expected to be one of the largest agricultural processing factories in the Mekong Delta, supplying over 30,000 tons of internationally certified processed agricultural products annually for domestic consumption and export.

For the raw material development project, the company has received support and attention from governmental agencies to expand the King MD2 pineapple raw material area. Westfood’s engineers and experts continuously survey and assess planting areas and input materials nationwide, ensuring a plentiful supply for the factories in Can Tho and the upcoming Hau Giang project.

In the domestic market, Westfood made an impression with the successful development of the King Westfood Pineapple, Westfood, and Fruitmoji brands in supermarkets and Horeca channels, offering domestic consumers high-quality and unique experiences.

Entering 2024, Westfood set a target of achieving a net revenue of 428 billion VND and a pre-tax profit of 27.9 billion VND. Alongside building the Westfood Hau Giang factory, the company continues to focus on developing products that are Westfood’s strengths, such as IQF, canned, fresh King MD2 pineapples, etc.; simultaneously expanding into new product lines and items to meet global export trends. For the raw material development project, the company will continue to expand the King MD2 pineapple area and other materials such as papaya, chu mango, kaew mango, etc., to stabilize the quantity and quality of input materials for export.

Westfood employees are determined to fulfill the 2024 plan

With the right strategy and development orientation, the leadership and all employees of Westfood are committed to working together, determined to create new breakthroughs, helping Westfood move towards its mission of becoming the ambassador of Vietnamese fruit brands and enhancing the image of Vietnamese agricultural products on the global market.
